The number in this area allows you to verify that you have typed the search description correctly. With this menu specify whether the search offset is From the start or From the end of a resource. With this menu specify the search location in the viral resource as =, ≤ or ≥ an offset or Any offset. Each search description defines the characteristics of a particular viral resource. Each virus definition can have 1 to 20 search descriptions. With this dialog you can create new virus definitions to detect previously unknown viruses. With this menu choose the type of search string as Hex, ASCII, or None. With this menu specify the size as either =, ≥, or ≤ then the number you typed in the field to the right. With this menu specify how to determine the resource id of the viral resource as Any id or = the id you typed in the field to the right. String offset allows you to specify the location in the viral resource at which the search string must be found. Search string allows you to define a string used to further identify a viral resource. Resource size allows you to specify what resource size matches this search description. This must be a decimal number. Specify the resource ID number of the viral resource to be searched for in this text entry area. Type a four-character code for the 'Resource type,' such as CODE or INIT in this text entry area. Type the name of the virus you are defining using 1 to 15 characters in this text entry area. Clicking '>' displays the next higher-number search description for the current virus definition. Clicking '-' deletes the current search description. Clicking '<' displays the next lower-number search description for the current virus definition.
